July 13th, 2007 | You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

This is one of those little enhancements that may not be a show stopper in size and scope, but it is something simple that we feel really adds a lot of value to the Quibblo experience for bloggers.

If you are an avid blogger (or even a casual blogger), you are likely familiar with the trackback process, which in simple terms, is sort of like a digital tip of the cap, where one site acknowledges that another has referenced it, by posting a link from the originating content, to the referencing post. Wikipedia describes a trackback in the following way:

A Trackback is an acknowledgment. This acknowledgment is sent via a network signal (ping) from the originating site to the receiving site. The receptor often publishes a link back to the originator indicating its worthiness. (more here)

So now, whenever you post a link to your favorite Quibblet on your blog, be sure and grab the trackback link from the Quibblet embed page, and add it to the trackback field in your blog software. Just like when you send trackbacks to other blogs, a link back to your site will then show beneath the corresponding quiz results right on Quibblo.com, giving you that digital tip of the cap for linking to us, as well as sending some of our Quibblo users your way!

We hope you enjoy this new feature, and as always, give us a shout if you have any problems, questions, or suggestions.
