We’re officially one week into the Quibblo re-launch and the view from here at Quibblo Central looks amazing; the servers never caught fire and all our co-workers are on speaking terms again. Considering how well things seem to be running, we thought a quick list of things to keep an eye on might be helpful.
New user registration continues to sky rocket so if you’ve been a regular user for some time try and pull some of the newbies in to you circle of friends. It’s always easier to find new content on Quibblo if you have a lot of friends making and taking quizzes all the time.
The new Quibblo widget is turning up in some real exciting places, if you come across someone using it in an interesting way, we’d love to know.
One of the soon to be released widget features is the ability to skin the widget with your own color pallet. This should make it much easier to match your quizzes up with the pages you’re sticking them on.
Fans of personality quizzes now have the ability to re-take a quiz if they so choose. And you can now see all possible outcomes in a particular personality quiz. These had been huge requests since the update, so we’re happy to see them both available.
Our temporarily disabling the display of All Results on personality quizzes, didn’t go over too well…soooo, we made sure to bring them back right away.

Take any personality test or scored quiz, and you should see the full results listed once again.
Hey Quibblo-ers! It’s Andrew from Quibblo here, coming to you live from Quibblo headquarters, where we are reading a lot of feedback from uses (both good and bad) on the new layout and new design that we rolled out to the site at the end of this past week. As I am looking through some of the messages that are coming in, I thought this would be a good place and a good way to answer some common questions we are getting, and to address some concerns.
Personality Quiz Results - A lot of you guys are asking why you can only see YOUR results and why you can’t see ALL of the possible results on personality quizzes like you used to. We feel your pain, and we are bring this functionality back soon. We took the view-all-results feature away temporarily to make some changes, but it should be back this week, so sit tight, we are working on it!
Adding Quizzes To Your Blog Or MySpace - This is one of the areas where we made some major changes. Embedding a quiz on your blog or MySpace is now easier than ever, but since the way you do it changed, it may take some getting used to, and certainly deserves some more explanation. If you need help with embedding a quiz on your MySpace, check out this link. From there, you can see special instructions on how to embed the quizzes on almost any social network.
In case you are wondering, this is what a quiz looks like when you embed it on MySpace
And if adding just the quiz isn’t enough, you can now add a results badge from any personality or scored quiz, showing your results, to your page as well. That will look something like this:
| Personality Type Quiz My Result: Funny/Clown Personality Type |
|||||||||
|
|||||||||
Those are just a couple of the new things we have added and updated, but some of our other favorite new tweaks are….
- You can leave comments on any user profile now
- User avatars are now next to comments and quiz creator names
- A new featured member will show up on the home page every day
- Help videos are all over the site to help you learn how to do different things
Of course WE think the site looks and works a heck of a lot better, but we understand that not everyone likes the new site as much as we do. That said, we love to get feedback from you guys, and when you send us messages and emails, we get them, we read them, and we use this feedback to make the site better, and to fix some things that we may not have gotten right on the first try. Just like that little window of time we give you to edit the quizzes you create, we should get a little window to edit things too! Right? Right!
So definitely leave us feedback by messaging us on Quibblo, or even leaving comments here on the blog. Just remember, good and constructive feedback works and will probably help to get things changed, but negativity and attacks definitely won’t help.
We’re waiting to hear from you, and look for lots more improvements soon based on your feedback!
By now you’ve probably noticed that Quibblo just went through a pretty major overhaul.
With the flick of a switch our crack team of Ninja developers took what was already a great website and made it a really wicked awesome website. I figured maybe it was worth take a look at some of the new stuff together.
First up the obvious stuff, some new colors and a tweaked layout should make it much easier to navigate the site. We’ve had some of the best designers in the world working on this, so we hope you like it.

Next up is Clair, Clair is going to be your guide on Quibblo. If you’re new to the site, pretty much anywhere you can interact; you’ll find a video tutorial with Clair who’s always available to help you figure things out. There are already enough words to read in all these amazing quizzes, so we decided to do something different and created these short video help sections that you’ll find throughout the site.
Featured polls are going to be a great way for us to show off some of the amazing content our users are creating every day. But it’s not always going to be popular content that ends up in this space; we’re really going to dig deep for the best stuff Quibblo users can come up with. Feel free to recommend a poll if you stumble across one you think would work well here.

The new featured quizzes section is similar to the featured poll, except this is where all our other feature quiz types for the day can be found.

The featured member section is a brand new element for the Quibblo front page. We’re obviously all about our users, without you there would be no Quibblo, so this is our way of both showcasing as well as thanking you for all the great content you create. Just like with the Featured polls, if you find a user who you think deserves to be recognized point them out to us and we’ll make sure they get the attention they deserve.

Probably the biggest addition to the site and something that I’m still amazed can even exist, is our new Quibblo Widget. This crazy flash widget will allow you to post a quiz on pretty much any web page you want. Anywhere you can embed code, you can stick this widget: Myspace, FaceBook, bebo, you name it. And you can use it for any quiz, not just the ones you create. It’s a really slick tool and it couldn’t be any easier to use. Give it a try, we think you’ll like this a lot.
The single most often asked question via our contact page would be “is Quibblo free?“.
Yes, It is free. There will be no exchange of currency and/or services for your use of Quibblo. You can take quizzes till our servers are smoking and we promise you will not see a bill.
Free.
I Promise.
