Enter Quibblo Writing Contest #13

World Travel, Anyone?

In the spirit of the upcoming season premiere of “The Amazing Race” (as well as Jules Verne’s “Around the World in Eighty Days”), here’s the latest writing contest:

Write a story in 6 or more chapters, where the setting for each chapter is a city or town in a different country. (A line connecting each country should circumnavigate the globe. Don’t only choose countries in Europe, for example.)

Will the same character travel to each location or will there be multiple characters? Will this be a mystery, a travel blog, or…? Is it in the past, present, or future? Provide enough detail so that the reader feels like he/she is experiencing different cultures. Maybe it’s time to pull out the atlas?

Give it an interesting title (don’t include “Quibblo’s Contest,” “QC,” or similar), and remember to:

  • Check spelling and grammar
  • Hit “Enter” twice after every paragraph, for readability
  • Tag it with WC13 when you’re sure it’s finished
  • Share it with all your friends, both on and off Quibblo

On February 26, we’ll select three winners to showcase on the Quibblo home page. What are you waiting for? Start your trip!

Deadline: 11:59 pm (EST), Sunday, February 24, 2013.
